Project Category : Pipeline Works
Location : SAUDI ARABIA, JUBAIL, KHURSANIYAH
Duration : 3 YEARS
Status : ON PROGRESS
Project Summary
Presently, the forecasted peak sales gas demand will increase from 8,960 MMSCFD in 2013 to 12,100 MMSCFD in 2020. Khursaniyah and Hasbah non-associated gas fields have been identified as the most economical alternative to meet a portion of this additional sales gas requirement and to reduce crude burning. The Hasbah gas field is located offshore, 50 kilometers from the Marjan offshore oil field. The Khursaniyah onshore field is located 36 kilometers northwest of Jubail. Currently there are no production, transportation or processing facilities to handle either Khursaniyah onshore gas or the additional Hasbah non-associated gas or sales gas.
The primary objective under budget item BI-10-01901 (Khursaniyah Upstream Non-Associated Gas Facilities) includes construction of two gas gathering manifolds (East & West GGMs) to receive gas from Khursaniyah Field. Each gas gathering manifold shall consist of multiple inlet piping, a receiving header manifold, a Relief & Flare System and asphalted access roads. In addition, the scope also includes construction of two new trunklines (EGT & WGT) to transport the gas from each gas gathering manifold to the new Fadhili Gas Plant, as well as the associated power supply and telecommunication system.
